P.O.P. working in Florence
22.04.09
Palace Of Pleasure have received a grant
to work on music for one week in Florence, from April 25th! A spokesman for the
band revealed that sources from the governmental department for culture say
they're prepared to pay almost anything to get the band out of Norway.
"We've had enough!" said _____ _____ (name withheld). "Frankly, I
only wish we could send them to Antarctica."
The band are very excited about the trip, especially
Sigmundo Floydini, who is part Italian. "Yes, it's true!" revealed
Floydini. "Both my left arm and my right leg, below the knee, are
Italian."
The band have been forced to cut back on musical
equipment in order to reduce luggage costs. According to logistics chief Stiano
Torstenzoni they will take no instruments at all. "We aim to write the whole
new album using things we find in the kitchen, including food. The music will
still be unmistakably Norwegian, but with a strong Italian flavour. The working
title for the new album is Grandiosa."
In a bid to reduce delays at airport
security, hygiene consultant Justino Newallergi has forbidden the band to take
any bathroom products with them. According to the Welshman, "Smell is a
strong factor in the making of any Palace Of Pleasure album. The real challenge
is to capture the odour and transform it into music."
